Structured Cabling

These days businesses are investing in Structured Cabling to ensure that their systems can cope with the requirements of their data and communications devices .

Structured Cabling London
Data cabling is the system which connects IT systems within an organisation and, as such, is critical to the efficient performance or the entire business.

As communications and software increasingly require faster connectivity the pressure on data systems become critical. Waiting for 30 seconds for a file to download may perhaps seem unacceptable. Sow data transfer speed can have a serious impact on the efficiency and performance.

Data Cabling for officesStructured Cabling networks are able to manage high bandwidth, which is more able to  handle the demands of the latest applications and can also be future proofed for further developments.

Fibre Optic Cabling London

NM Cabling offer Data and Fibre Optic Cabling services  in London, Home counties and major cities

Fibre Optic Cabling

Fibre optic cabling has become extensively used in telecommunications due to its large Fibre Optic Cabling Installations Londonbandwidth and superior range compared to copper wires. NM Cabling offer a range of Fibre optic installation solutions according to your needs, preference and budget.

Multimode Fibre Optic Cabling We can install OM1, OM2, OM3 and OM4 standard fibre optic cable in either internal or external environments. Fibre Optic Cabling 62.5/125 or 50/125. It can also either be Tight Buffered and Loose Tube Construction.
Single Mode Fibre optics
For single mode fibre optic cabling we can install your requirements in various applications internally and externally.
Fibre Optic Terminations
We provide fibre optic terminations for ST, SC, LC, and MTRJ applications. We can also provide patch leads to incorporate the various terminations.
.
Fibre Optic Testing – OTDR
For faulty or suspected broken fibre optic cabling we can test your existing cabling and find the exact point of failure along the cable enabling a corrective splice and removing the need for new cabling and disruption.

Cat5e versus Cat6 data cabling systems

Why do I need all the bandwidth of category 6 Cabling?

Bandwidth precedes data rates just as highways come before traffic. Doubling the bandwidth is like adding twice the number of lanes on a highway. The trends of the past and the predictions for the future indicate that data rates have been doubling every 18 months. Current applications running at 1 Gb/s are really pushing the limits of category 5e cabling. As streaming media applications such as multi-media and audio visual become commonplace, the demands for faster data rates will increase and spawn new applications that will benefit from the higher bandwidth offered by category 6 cabling. This is exactly what happened in the early 90’s when the higher bandwidth of category 5 data cabling compared to category 3 caused most LAN applications to choose the better media to allow simpler, cost effective, higher speed LAN applications, such as 100BASE-TX. Note: Bandwidth is defined as the highest frequency up to which positive power sum ACR (Attenuation to Crosstalk Ratio) is greater than zero... read more
