Concealing TV and Audio

What’s the most prominent piece of equipment in your living room?

Concealing TV and Audio Equipment in the Home
For most families the TV is the biggest single piece of AV equipment in the whole house and it sits there on the living room wall. Flat-screen plasma and LCD TVs are getting bigger and more complex, including surround sound and other add on’s and they just sit there on the wall- sticking out like a sore thumb.
Super-thin LCD or Plasma TV Flat screen televisions have allowed families to

recover space in the living room while increasing screen size but, the downside is that the TV or AV equipment is now much more prominent. In addition, all of the equipment that goes with it! - Sky Boxes, satellite box, game system,
DVD or Blu-Ray players, speakers, amplifiers, music servers, movie servers surround sound receivers and even VCRs. All that stuff has to go somewhere!
The biggest challenge of installing a home AV system is hiding all of the equipment, cable and speakers. Typically, families will buy a TV stand and put everything in or behind it. It's certainly the most convenient solution, everything connects to the TV and we assume that the components must be in view in order to control them.
Fortunately there's a remedy.
Today there are some clever solutions to hide your AV equipment with great effect. Picture frame TVs are a good way to disguise your TV and make it part of your room decor. The choice of frame, together with concealment options such as a mirror, picture, or aquarium turn your AV equipment into room art. When you turn the TV on, the picture or mirror becomes a regular TV with a nice frame...

Modern TVs and AV equipment call for high performance speakers. Usually, speakers are mounted alongside the TV or audio equipment. However, modern

concealed speakers can be installed into walls. They become flush with the walls, can be skimmed or painted and disappear completely
For each Residential AV Installation there is the decision to make of how
much equipment to have on display and where to site that equipment.
A typical set up is to have a television in each room with sky box and
DVD linked directly to the television. On a TV stand this is quite acceptable but this calls for extra furniture which detracts from the flat screen effect. Without the furniture where does the equipment go?
Modern control systems allow you to locate all of your boxes, players, servers in a central position. Equipment is completely hidden and controlled from each room or by portable Wi-Fi applications that offer full function control and programming.
